He was predeceased by: his father Donald Barthel; his wife Linda Barthel; and his siblings, Dante, Dwayne and Eileen Bose.

He is survived by: his children, Theresa Warner (Chuck) of Gahanna and Don Barthel (Kelly) of Louisville; his siblings, Diane Bauman of North Canton and Denny Barthel of Florida; and his grandchildren, John, Emily, Bailey Warner, Hudson and Olivia Barthel. He is also survived by friends and family.
