He was predeceased by: his parents, John Ison and Bernice Ison (Bowman); and his brothers, Darel, Donald and Gary.
He is survived by: his wife Darlene Ison (Wuske); his children, David Ison (Jen) of Canton, Mike Ison (Stacey) of Alliance and Stefanie Knouff (Craig) of Paris; his grandchildren, Devan, Merina and Dustyn; and his siblings, Linda Lilly (John) and Jim Riley (Kathy). He is also survived by three great-grandchildren.
