He was predeceased by: his parents, Cletus Marks and Etha Marks (Linerode); his sisters, Donna Miller (Ronald) and Jane Ann Meadows (Wayne); and his nephew Rodney Meadows.
He is survived by: his wife Lois; his children, Michael Marks (Nancy) and Beth Marks of Evanston, IL; his granddaughters, Jennifer Holland (Trey) of Pittsboro, NC and Kristi Marks of Fuquay-Varina, NC; and his sister Linda Legros (John) of Gambier, OH. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and friends.
