He was predeceased by: his parents, Edward Phillips and Mary Ann Phillips (Glass); his son Christopher "CJ" Phillips; and his siblings, Mary Lou Wright, Lorretta Kraus, Larry, Ronnie and Raymond Rice.
He is survived by: his wife Robin Phillips; his daughter Melany Phillips; his stepdaughters, Regina Davis (James) and Diana Clark; and his siblings, Janet Laird (Paul) and Edward Phillips (Sue). He is also survived by four grandchildren and one great-grandson.
