He was predeceased by: his parents, Cavender Edwards and Opal M. Edwards (Preston); and his brothers, Elroy Hughes and Richard Hughes. He is survived by: his wife Geraldine Hughes (Jackson); his children, Walter Hughes Jr. (Lisa) of Cambridge and Deanna Young (James) of Lore City; his grandchildren, Jon-Eric Nicholson of Byesville, Kayla Curtis of Cambridge, Mariah Newman of Cambridge and Kali Whitney of Cambridge; and his great grandchildren, Myla, Amara, Myra and Ryan. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and very good friends.
Friends and family are welcome, but due to COVID-19 please take all necessary precautions to ensure your safety and everyone else's should you decide to attend.
