He was predeceased by: his parents, Howard Stanley Bench and Betty Jane Bench (LaCroix); and his siblings, Kenny Bench, James Bench Sr. and Mary Jane Bench.
He is survived by: his children, Michael Bench of Missouri, Travis Bench of Missouri, Betty Denner of Columbus and Melissa Romaniuk of Columbus; his sisters, Sheila McClain (Phil) of Old Washington, Martha Clauss (Gary) of Buffalo and Carol Whittle (Tom) of Pleasant City; and his sisters-in-law, Shirley Bench of Byesville and Rose Bench of Byesville. He is also survived by eight grandchildren; two great-grandchildren.
