He was predeceased by: his parents, Samuel Clay Gatrell and Doris Fisher (Kennedy); and his brothers, Thomas and Edison Gatrell. He is survived by: his children, Stephanie Edwards (Eric) of Zanesville, Holly Gadd (Kevin) of Cumberland, Tammy Hanes (Dave) of Cambridge, Melissa Richmond (Dave) of New Philadelphia, Danny Gatrell (April Conner) of Cambridge and Shawn Warford (Kelly) of Cambridge; his brothers, Alan "Jess" Gatrell (Kimberly), Terry Gatrell of Quaker City, David "Butch" Gatrell (Debi) of Cambridge, Jim Gatrell of Indiana, Bob Gatrell of Missouri, Jerry and Dick; and his half-siblings, Jeff Fisher (Annette) of Granville, Wendy Hall of Cambridge and Sherry Feldner (Tom) of Cambridge. He is also survived by several grandchildren and great grandchildren.
