He is survived by: his children, Dale Wilkes (Akron), Lisa (Rashaan), Arnold (Lorain), Amy Ward (Jerome), Violet Martina (Cleveland) and Shannon Ward (Lorain); his grandchildren, Dannelle Thomas, Darrius Thomas, Asia Wright, Joshua Wright, Tarica Jackson, Raya Martina (Cleveland), DeLetria Walters, Christina (Ray), Torrence (Akron), Candace (Owen), Fraser (Houston), Dale DJ Wilkes, Jr. (Baltimore), William, De'Angelo Patton, Devin Woods and David Cruz, Jr.; his siblings, Emma Spraggins (Lorain), Melvin Smith, LaJoyce Hamilton (Los Angeles), Tedario Smith, Olvin (Michelle) and Shirley Marshall of Stockton, CA; and his former wife Ruthie Ward (Lorain). He is also survived by nieces, nephews cousins and special military friends.
