He was predeceased by: his parents, William, Sr. Ackley and Irene Ackley. He is survived by: his wife Virginia K. Ackley; his son Mike Ackley of Washington; his stepchildren, Earl Smith of Amherst, Katherine Smith of Lorain and Karen Smith of Lorain; and his brother Dennis Ackley of Amherst Township. He is also survived by five grandchildren; eight great grandchildren.
