She was predeceased by: her parents, Frank Massey and Sadie Mae Massey; her husband John A. Golden; and her daughters, Shirley D. Whitfield and Pamala J. Golden.

She is survived by: her children, Johnnie Mae Cabbil of Lorain, Linda Turner of Cleveland, Ohio and John "Monk" Golden Jr. of Lorain, Ohio; her brothers, Pete Massey of Lorain, Sydney Massey of Peoria and Eddie "Buddie" Massey of Lorain, Ohio; her grandchildren, Robert Reed, Stephanie Payne, Vanesha Bracey, Daryl Whitfield, John "JT" Turner, Virginia "Ginni" Cabbil, John Golden III and Christopher Warren; her niece Nina Vaughan; her nephew William Massey; her sisters, Novella Lambert, Roxie Hearndon, Thelma Mallard and Louise Chandler; and also, Willie "Penny" Massey and Walter "Tatum" Massey. She is also survived by nieces, nephews, neighbors and friends.
