He was predeceased by: his parents, Frank "Fritz" Urbanek and Pauline. He is survived by: his wife Darla; his children, Aaron (Emily) of Charlotte, Matthew (Malory) of Lorain and Dana Gornall (Mark Konecek) of Amherst; his foster daughter Melissa Chorba (Matthew); his grandchildren, Zack, Penny, Jeremy, Hallie and Victoria; his brother Alan Urbanek (Gail) of Vermilion; and his friend Seth Schilling.
