He was predeceased by: his parents, John Alves and Clara Jennings; his stepfather Lester Jennings; and his siblings, Robert Alves and Marie Church.
He is survived by: his wife Annie Alves; his children, Tanya Alves, Jessica Cortes (Jose) and Steven Alves II; his grandchildren, Maritsa, Anthony, Calesha, Bobby, Raven, Nathaniel, Nyko, Sabrina, Sara, Branden and Selena; his siblings, Joseph Alves (Gail), John Alves (Gladys), Edward Alves (Jenny) and Marion Pagan (Freddie); his sister-in-law Wendy Alves; and also Stevie.
