He is survived by: his children, Rachel A. Rodriguez (Young) and Samuel A. Rodriguez; his grandsons, Brandon A. Rodriguez of Lorain and Darryl Q. Young Jr. of Lorain; his close friend Josepha Olivencia; and also, Gloria of Lorain, Nancy of Lorain, Eddie of Lorain, Phillip of Lorain and Gilberto Jr. of Cincinnati. He is also survived by father and grandfather to his children and grandchildren.

His family suggests memorial contributions to the funeral home to offset burial expenses.
