He was predeceased by: his parents, Pablo Ortiz and Bienvenida Claudio; his sister Honorina Greo; his parents-in-law, Daniel and Guadalupe Garcia; and his nephew Derek M. Garcia.
He is survived by: his wife Julia Ortiz; his daughters, Julie Maylynn Neal (Andre) of Cincinnati, Vanessa Trovato of Lorain and Tina Ortiz (Andre) of Kentucky; and his siblings, Pablo, Marcos of Puerto Rico, Eddie, Carlos of Connecticut, Rosa, Juanita, Norma and Carmen of Connecticut. He is also survived by many loving grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.
