He was predeceased by: his grandmother Lottie Cato; his aunts, Betty Edwards and Cathleen Cato; and his uncle Jerome Lewis. He is survived by: his sons, Robert Lee Lewis Jr. and Drakkar "Ja'vier" Lewis; his mother Dinah Clayton; his siblings, Clyde Lewis, Sylvester Clayton, Dedra Wilson and Twila Row; and his uncle Benjamin Lewis. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
