We bid farewell to Rita Bennett (Elyria, Ohio), whose journey of life gracefully concluded on November 14, 2024 at the age of 95. Rita touched countless lives with warmth and kindness, leaving behind cherished memories that will forever echo in hearts. She was predeceased by: her parents, Charles Shuster and Magdalene Shuster; and her siblings, Raymond, Walter Shuster, Veronica Kapron (Stanley), Mary Smith (Robert) and Joan Brumback (Mel).
She is survived by: her children, Debra Calabrese Moore (Herman), Dennis Bennett (Nancy), Sharon Bennett, Barbara Berens and Mark Bennett (Violet); and her grandchildren, Jennifer Bilczo (Adam), Lindsay Bennett, Tessa Bennett, Anthony Calabrese (Kimberly), Nicholas Calabrese, Angela Cresap (Andy), Courtney Bennett and Ryan Bennett (Natalie). She is also survived by many great grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Monday, November 18th 2024 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Wyers-Bollinger Funeral Chapel (2900 N Ridge Rd, Elyria, OH 44035). A Mass of Christian burial was held on Tuesday, November 19th 2024 at 10:00 AM at the St. Vincent DePaul Church (41295 N Ridge Rd, Elyria, OH 44035). A burial was held on Tuesday, November 19th 2024 at the Calvary Cemetery (555 N Ridge Rd, Lorain, OH 44053).
