It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Rebecca Whitfield Abrams of Lorain, Ohio, born in Oberlin, Ohio, who passed away on September 4, 2023, at the age of 62, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Johnnie B. Whitfield and Dovie Stellmacher; and her siblings, Naomi Riggins and John Whitfield. She is survived by: her husband Avery Alvin Abrams; her children, Tamika Hasan (Jeff), DeTroy Lamont Whitfield, Greg Fleming and Avery Callaway; her grandchildren, Rashad Hasan, Asilla Hasan, NaVaya Hasan, Detroya L Whitfield and Priscilla A Whitfield; and her siblings, Mary Gibson and Ricky Whitfield. She is also survived by aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, in-laws, and other loving relatives and friends.
