It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Raúl Velázquez of Lorain, Ohio, who passed away on December 7, 2020, at the age of 69, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Angelino Velázquez and Gertrudis Madera; his siblings, Florentino (Sinti), Ramon, Euripides (Piry), Angel, Porfirio (Coqui), Andy, José Velázquez (Cheo) and Anna Ramos; and his grandson Raúl Robert Montagu.

He is survived by: his sons, Raúl Velázquez Jr. of Columbus and Reynaldo Velázquez of Lorain; and his sisters, Maria Elis Velázquez of Lorain and Gladys Velázquez of California. He is also survived by 9 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren.
