With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Portia Elaine Chambers (Lorain, Ohio), born in Chambersburg, Pennsylvania, who passed away on February 19, 2019 at the age of 75. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her husband Albert "Obie" Chambers; her significant other Clyde Thomas; her former husband Edwin Starks Sr.; and her parents, Walter Carter and Hazel Carter.

She is survived by: her children, Tony Starks of Cleveland, Sonja Starks of Elyria, Lolita "Gidget" Starks (Gerard Lovett) of Lorain, Dora Starks of Lorain and Cathy Willis-Thomas of Berea; and her sister Jackie Carter of New Jersey. She is also survived by six grandchildren and three great grandchildren.
