He was predeceased by: his mother Dorothy J. Stern; his granddaughter Courtney Kinkoph; and his siblings, Lawrence H. Stern, James P. Stern, Judith and Betty Lee.
He is survived by: his wife Carolyn; his children, Carolyn Marie Kinkoph (Thomas) of Eastlake, Phillip W. Stern, II and Thomas E. Stern; his grandsons, Kyle and Cody Kinkoph; his sisters, Marilyn C. Higgins and Joan K. Larizza (Frank); and his sisters-in-law, Carole A. Stern and Linda J. Stern. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
