She was predeceased by: her husband Alfred J. Leighty; her son James D. Leighty; and her siblings, Thomas, Leo (Eugene), William, Donald, Carl (Roger) and Wilma Ruth Hartman.
She is survived by: her children, Candace McDoniel (Larry) of Avon Lake, Eugene Leighty of Elyria, Randi Leighty of Lorain, Sandra Brown of Lorain and Russell Leighty (Susan) of Kentucky. She is also survived by five grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
