She was predeceased by: her parents, Athanasios Karaboyias and Dimitra Karaboyias; her husband John J. Athanas; her children, George J. Athanas and Dena Athanas; and her brothers, Gust, Anthony and Theodore Karaboyias.
She is survived by: her daughter Dimitra Athanas of Lorain; and her grandchildren, Michelle Athanas of Lorain, Nichole Athanas of Parma, John J. Athanas (Michelle) of Cleveland and George DeNillo of Florida. She is also survived by 7 great grandchildren and nieces and nephews.
