She was predeceased by: her children, Annie Maurice Jones-Williams, Loretta Gayle Hawthorne, Mattie Laurel Hawthorne-Nelson (Willie J.) and Johnny Howard Hawthorne (Trish); her parents, Sam Thomas and Mattie Thomas; her husband Howard Hathorn; her daughter Chrystal Jean Carter (Calvin); her grandsons, Johnny Hawthorne Jr. and Gregory Patton; and her great grandchildren, Cleveland, Princess Hawthorne, Amber, Angela Aponte, Michael Hawthorne Jr., Quayshawn Hawthorne, David Hawthorne Jr., Amya Hawthorne, Promise Hawthorne and Renardo Collins.
She is survived by: her children, Crystal Jean Carter (Pig) and Robert Earl Hawthorne (Poke) of Ellenwood, GA; her extended family, Huffs, Atwoods, Isoms and Jacksons; her sister Kathryn Martin of Coshocton, OH; her children-in-law, Curtis S. Williams of Lawrenceville, GA and Jennifer Mastin of Lorain, OH.; and her granddaughter Chrystal. She is also survived by 6 children, 27 grandchildren, 92 great-grandchildren, 126 great-great-grandchildren, and 4 great-great-great grandchildren.
