Loretta Akins Obituary

It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Loretta Akins (Lorain, Ohio), who passed away on April 19, 2020, at the age of 84, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, John Williams and Mazirena Williams; her husband John Akins; her son Ricky Akins; and her siblings, Mayme Penn, Emma Denson, Leona Williams, Gertrude Morgan, Pat Griffin, Gwen Davis, John Jr. and Donald Williams.

She is survived by: her children, Point of Grace Ministries, Pastors Vanessa and Darrell Young; her siblings, Jerome Williams of Pittsburgh, PA, Harrison Williams of Pittsburgh, PA, Harriet Wilson of Pittsburgh, PA, Darlene Williams of Pittsburgh, PA, Alice McClendon of Pittsburgh, PA and Mary Jackson of Louisville, KY; and her granddaughters, Erica Brown of Lorain, Deziarae Brown of Lorain, April Blanton of Lorain, Terri McClinton (Arlington Jr.) of Elyria and Rocheal Gibson of Indianapolis, IN. She is also survived by 8 great grandchildren and 2 great-great grandchildren; and a host of family, nieces, nephews, great and great-great nieces and nephews, and faithful neighbors and friends.

Due to the COVID-19 Pandemic restrictions on public gatherings, private family services will be held.
