He was predeceased by: his wife Kathern "Kathy"; his son John E. Miller; his parents, Robert E. Miller, Sr. and Nora B. Miller; and his brothers, Robert E. Miller, Jr. and Donald D. Miller.

He is survived by: his children, Debra Harrington (Richard) of Lorain, Sharon L. Miller of Lorain, Scott Miller (Evelyn) of Parma and Brian Miller (Tisha) of Edgewater. He is also survived by seven grandchildren and four great grandchildren.
