He is survived by: his children, Cecelia "Chube" Velez, Darla Velez, Dallas Rose and Maurice Cuevas; his stepdaughter Gladys Santiago; and his siblings, Angel, Jamie, Blanca, Norma and Lola. He is also survived by grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
