He is survived by: his wife Daneida Woods-Gilchrist; his daughter Serah Gilchrist; his stepsons, DaQua Grant and Richard Burroughs III; his grandson Cameron Chapman; his mother Mary Gilchrist; his siblings, James Gilchrist, Pastor Frank Gilchrist (Paula), Minister Alfred Gilchrist (Jacqueline), Michael Gilchrist (Donna), Alfonson Gilchrist (Tina), Johnny Gilchrist, Sarah Brown (Henry), Jannie Gilchrist-Pye, Mae H. Gilchrist, Essie Fedikovich (Michael), Stella Powell (Fred) and Fran Nettles (Craig); and his friends, Gary Dirden and Samuel Crowell. He is also survived by other loving relatives and dear friends.
