He was predeceased by: his parents, Joseph Sherbert and Doris Sherbert Sr. (S. Marine Corps); his wife Josefa Sherbert; and his grandchildren, Elenie Ambers and Carlos Sherbert (Sue Hill).
He is survived by: his children, Peggy Stalnaker (Randy) and Joseph A. Sherbert III (Lucy); and his sister Carolyn Colby. He is also survived by seven grandchildren, six great grandchildren.
