He is survived by: his wife Jan; his children, Jeffrey Rakar (Amy) of Lorain and Jennifer Leopold (Michael); and his grandchildren, Brianna Rakar, Ashley Rakar, Chloe Rakar, Daniel Rico and Allison Leopold.
