He is survived by: his wife Vickie Ewing; his sons, John Carlton and Joseph Carlton; his grandchildren, Alexis Carlton, Arianna Carlton, Desiree Schafer and Terrance Harper; his great grandchildren, Elena Polanco-Carlton and Amira Carlton; and his siblings, Willie Ewing of Lorain and Maryann Lucas-Carter of Saginaw.
