He is survived by: his wife Maria "Kitty" Mateo; his stepdaughters, Miriam Liberty and Eledis "Lidy" Torres; his children, Jesus Mateo, Harold Mateo, Edwin Mateo, Yvette Mateo and Annette Mateo; and his siblings, Herman Mateo, Angel Mateo, Osvaldo Mateo, Ines Mateo and Eneida Mateo. He is also survived by many grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and cousins.
