He is survived by: his children, Tammy Tansey (Jack), Kelli Norton (Jedediah Houghton) and James Piper (Joyce); his grandchildren, Jacob Tansey, Seth Tansey (Alexis), Cassandra Eddy (Trevor) and Brandon Ochrin; his sisters, Valerie Scherich (Ron), Dora Clay (Charles) and Relda Litten; and his sister-in-law Sally Piper. He is also survived by five great-grandchildren.
