It is with great sadness that we announce the death of James M Phillips of Lorain, Ohio, born in Nelsonville, Ohio, who passed away on December 17, 2020, at the age of 86, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his wife Lila; his daughter Cynthia Nelson; his parents, Leonard Phillips and Thelma Phillips; and his siblings, Lester Phillips and Colleen Bittner.
He is survived by: his children, James Phillips (Charlotte) of Grayson, Leonard Phillips (Una) of Lorain, Diana Hunter of Elyria and Dawn Bryant of Elyria; and his sister Ester Shumway of Lorain. He is also survived by 15 grandchildren, 44 great-grandchildren, 27 great-great-grandchildren.
Face coverings and proper social distancing will be required at all times. Funeral services will be private for the immediate family only but will be live streamed 11 AM Monday on Bogner Family Funeral Home Facebook page.
