He was predeceased by: his parents, Eddie L. Turner and Mamie Turner; and his brother Charles Turner. He is survived by: his children, Leticia Cook (Rawlyn), Madelyn Turner, Lavona Turner and James L. Turner II (Eve); and his sisters, Rosa Hughes and Katie Rowser. He is also survived by eight grandchildren, and a host of nieces and nephews.
