Though Jacqueline may no longer walk beside us, her memory will forever be enshrined in the fabric of the lives of those Jacqueline touched, a beacon of light guiding us through the darkness. In her absence, her spirit lives on — a gentle whisper in the breeze, a ray of sunlight on a cloudy day, a reminder that love knows no boundaries.

She was predeceased by: her parents, John Hancock and Stella Hancock; her husbands, Gene Lafferty Sr. and Edward Day; and her children, Gene Jr., Terry, Peter Lafferty and Nancy Stewart.

She is survived by: her daughters, Rosemary Lafferty (Harland Mooney) of Lorain and Robin Lafferty (Grace Bond) of Lorain. She is also survived by fourteen grandchildren; and many great grandchildren.

Visitation was held on Monday, January 13th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Busch Funeral Home (114 2nd St, Elyria, OH 44035). A celebration of life was held on Monday, January 13th 2025 at 12:00 PM at the same location. A burial was held on Monday, January 13th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 1:30 PM at the Brookdale Cemetery (41600 Oberlin Elyria Rd, Elyria, OH 44035).
