He was predeceased by: his parents, Leonard Carter and Nettie Carter; and his siblings, William Carter, Jerry Carter and Margaret Miller.
He is survived by: his siblings, Thelma Canter, Polly Smith (Tomas), Richard Carter, Mary Carter, Paul Carter, Barbara Weinbroer, Ronald Carter (Sally) and Claudette Melendez. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
