He was predeceased by: his parents, Domingo Amador and Romana Amador; his sister Otilia Amador; and his brother-in-law David Stein. He is survived by: his wife Mary; his daughters, Angelina Amador of Chicago, IL and Monaca Amador of Lorain; his stepdaughters, Julia Chancey of Lima and Leticia Jacobs of Amherst; and his sisters, Lydia Inchaurregui (John), Raquel Stein and Paula Perez (Joe) of Lorain.

“My sincere condolences to the entire Amador family. Though few and long ago, my fond memories of Gilbert started back in 1969 at Longfellow Jr HS through 1975 at Lorain Senior HS. I remember Gilbert as down to earth friendly and fun kid who I had the pleasure of seeing him again at our 40th HS reunion. Gilbert, be at Peace my friend.”
