He is survived by: his wife Betty Dowell; his children, Darlene Dowell, Dyan Dowell and George W. Dowell Jr. (Tangela) of Lorain; his sister Grace M. Lovett of Lorain; his grandchildren, Courtney Smith (Andrea), Derek Dowell (Amanda) and Terrell Jeter; and his great grandchildren, Keira Smith, Derek Dowell Jr. and Lilliana Cruz-Jeter. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, and other relatives and friends.
