He was loved and cherished by many people including: his children, Demarcus Flint and Tara "Pinky" Flint; his siblings, Loretta Spence (Thurmond), Mary Flint, Shari Williams, Virginia Flint, Dora James and Anthony Flint (Mary Ann); his friend Flynn Smith; his parents, David Flint and Nettie Flint (Chambers); his adoptive mother Violet Flint; and his siblings, Lillian Wilbanks, Violet Mason, Brenda Monroe and David Flint II. He was also cherished by many grandchildren, and great grandchildren.
