He was predeceased by: his parents, Arthur Jones and Floster Rena Jones; his stepmother Ruth Jones; his close friend Gloria Jones; his son Darryl Jones; and his daughter-in-law Delores Jones.

He is survived by: his son Alan Jones of Lorain; and his siblings, Arthur Jones Jr. (Linda) of Illinois, Douglas Jones (Stephanie), John Jones of Illinois and Joyce Bullock of Illinois.
