He was predeceased by: his parents, Frederick Douglas Hardnett Sr. and Stella Kate Harnett. He is survived by: his children, Edward Jr., Frederick, Valerie and Teresa; and his siblings, Connie Hardnett, Sam Wise, Linda Hardnett and Pam Hardnett. He is also survived by other loving relatives and friends.
