She was predeceased by: her father Paul (Marie Sandor); her husband William E. Bremer; her son Robert W. Bremer; and her brothers, Edward, William and Albert Sandor.

She is survived by: her children, Nancy Sestili (Mike) of Lorain and Jim Bremer (Hope) of Lorain; her grandchildren, Sarah Kobialka (Brian), Michael Sestili (Lisa), Cathy Campagne (Avi), Jacque Bremer, Miriam Makruski (Dan), David Bremer (Sonia) and Terence Bremer; and her sister Betty Lapos of Avon. She is also survived by 11 great grandchildren.

Visitation was held on Monday, November 4th 2024 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the St Mary Catholic Church (310 W 8th St, Lorain, OH 44052). A Mass of Christian burial was held on Monday, November 4th 2024 at 11:00 AM at the Saint Mary Catholic Church (310 W 8th St, Lorain, OH 44052).

In lieu of flowers, Dorothy had requested memorial contributions be made to St Jude Children's Hospital or Boys Town.
