She was predeceased by: her husband Paul Dietlin; her parents, Harry C. Barens and Jewel Barens; her friends, LaMotte and Carol Brindley; and her pets, Tashi, Flurrie and Puff.
She is survived by: her children, Dr. Cathy Dietlin (Paul Balcom) of Lorain, Bonnie Bowerman (Roger) of Lorain and Tim Dietlin (Patti) of Kewadin, MI; her grandchildren, Chad Bowerman (Lindsey) of Avon, Jordan Bowerman (Anna) of North Ridgeville, Grete Wood (Steven) of Boston, MA, Pastor Garth Dietlin (Kim) of Grand Rapids, MI and Inga Marks (Travis) of Kewadin, MI; and her friend Rev. Jeff Ahlgrim of Life Church.
