David Corey Phillips Obituary

David Corey Phillips, 29, of Lorain, passed away unexpectedly Saturday, December 3, 2022, at his home. He was born May 5, 1993, in Amherst.

He worked for Limitless Towing, where he was loved. He was a graduate of Clearview Juror and Senior High School. he also attended NASCAR tech in Mooresville NC.

Racing was his passion he drove #11 race car at many of the local tracks where he was track champion in 2013. But, his kids, were his world.

He leaves behind his fiancée Leah Farris; children, David Corey Phillips Jr. Bowe Rivers Phillips and Sam Williams; his mother Charlin Maynard; brothers, Teddy, Douglas, and Jack Barker and Ernest J. Phillips, lll (Ashlee Phillips); sister Lauren Post; nephews Wyatt Nichols, Ernest J. Phillips, IV, Madison Post, Dominic Carroll, Bryson, Courtney, Nathan, Hunter and Luke, his best friend Larry Justice and all of his fans, friends and racing community. He is preceded in death by his unborn child; his dad Ernest J. Phillips, Jr; brother Andrew Charles Barker and Angelo Colombo; his grandpa's Ernest Phillips Sr. and Charlie Lowe; grandma's Virginia Phillips and Ruby Maynard and his aunts Pamela Maynard and Denice Simmons.

He will truly be missed by many; forever, MAY HE REST IN PEACE.

His family will receive friends at the Richard J. Reidy Funeral Home, 1783 East 31st Street, South Lorain, Friday, December 9, 2022, from 4 until 7 PM funeral service.
