He was predeceased by: his wife Mary Jackson; his son Clyde Edward Jackson, Jr.; his mother Annie L. Jackson; his siblings, Dorothy Chinn and Leroy Jackson Sr.; and his son-in-law Stanley Sutton.
He is survived by: his daughters, Sandra Scott, Bettye Sutton and Susan Church of Lorain.

Clyde has served on the Board of Directors of United Way; Mental Health and Mental Retardation 648 Board, Rehabilitation Center of Lorain County; Community Foundation of Greater Lorain County; Red Cross; and Lorain Community Hospital.
