She was predeceased by: her husband James L. Smith; her parents, William Takacs and Margaret Takacs; and her siblings, Elmer Takacs and Geraldine Slaus.
She is survived by: her children, James Bruce Smith (Linda) of Lorain, Thomas Wayne Smith (Susan) of Vermilion and Clarice "Kandy" Marie Smith of Brampton; her grandchildren, Denise Pearson (Jack), Ronald Smith (Cathy), Brian Smith (Kathy), Michelle Boni (Richard), Beverly Smith, David Smith (Elizabeth), Micheal Struc and Katie Struc; and her sister Penny Pope of Lorain. She is also survived by 8 great grandchildren; 3 great great grandchildren.
