He was predeceased by: his son Charles L. Hall, Jr.; his parents, Orville Hall and Bertha L. Hall; his stepfather Bill Hall; and his siblings, Mary Mitchell, Norma McKinney, Raymond Conn and Bill J. Hall.

He is survived by: his daughters, Anna McKee, Georgia and Roberta McKinney (Gregory) of West Salem; his grandchildren, Hollanne Lee, Jocelyn McKee, Brant McKee, Julie Moses, Cristen Marshall and Charles Lowe; and his siblings, Ava Wedgeworth of Elyria, Flossie Weinbrandt of Amherst Township, Margaret Haynie of Abbeville, Lydia Conn of Dana, Virgie Gmerek of Westerville, Phyllis Akers of Harold, Betty Stevens of Harold, James P. Hall of Lorain and Earl Hall of Ivel, Kentucky.. He is also survived by nineteen great grandchildren.
