She was predeceased by: her parents, Clayton J. Collier and Ruth Wilson; and her sister Almeda Y. Johnson. She is survived by: her husband Joseph Vaughn; her brother Clayton Collier; her sons, Keith Pool, Kerry Pool (Sylvia), Alaric Pool Jr. (Lisa), Marlon Jeffries (Mary), Vincent Ward (Mary) and Joseph Vaughn Jr. (Tomesha); her adoptive daughter Willie Lee Johnson; and her granddaughter Chelly Johnson. She is also survived by 38 grandchildren, 32 great grandchildren.
She was the co-founder of Helping Hands Feeding Foundation and served for 15 years.
