She is survived by: her daughters, Karen Derby (Tim Lovell), Darlene Klein (Ken) and Janice Taylor (Tom); her grandchildren, Elisabeth Derby, David Derby (Carolyn), Lindsay Klein, Lauren Klein and Erika Melendez (Robert); her great grandchildren, Adeline Derby, Eleanor Derby, Sophia Melendez, Lilyanna Melendez and Chloe Melendez; and her siblings, Rita Vibonese (Robert) and Charles Mazzola.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks for donations in Kay's name to be made to The Ohio Masonic Communities Foundation.
