Aubrey J. Bodkins Obituary

It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Aubrey J. Bodkins (Lorain, Ohio), who passed away on April 21, 2021, at the age of 85, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Herbert J. Bodkins and Pearl M Bodkins; his siblings, Forrest, Harry, Donnie, Leslie, Lapel Bodkins, Elsie Edmond, Gladys White, Palley Goodwin, Rose Teter, Teen Shifflett, Cecelia Mullens and Monnie Bodkins; his half-brother Curtis Bodkins; and his nephew Jeffrey Bodkins.

He is survived by: his wife Ruth E.; his daughters, Cathy Galvan (Bob) of Lorain, Jane Spinney (Parker) of Grafton, Linda Wilson of Lagrange, Jean McAvoy-Johnson (John Jr.) of Wakeman, Ruth Huffman of Vermilion, Carol Scholte (Bruce) of Lakewood and Peggy Barnicle (Jim) of Lagrange; and his brother Harvey J. "Joe" Bodkins (Joyce Ellingsworth) of Amherst. He is also survived by fifteen grandchildren, twenty great grandchildren.

All guests will be required to wear facial coverings and visitors are asked to comply with the COVID-19 guidelines posted at the funeral chapel entrance and throughout the building.

Max Wood wrote a sympathy message

“Ruth and family. We were so saddened to hear of your great loss in the passing of Tib. We only learned of it the day before yesterday. Our prayers are with you all. I am so glad that our paths merged for a while on life’s journey. We are TrueType the richer for it. May Gods great grace carry you all during this time. Tib was such a blessing to all who knew him.
